Euclid families can spend a free Saturday afternoon exploring science, technology, engineering, arts and math when the fifth annual Euclid STEAM Fest returns Sept. 19. The festival runs from noon to 4 p.m. at Shore Cultural Centre, 291 E. 222nd St.
The Shore Cultural Centre Board hosts and sponsors the annual festival. Open to all ages, the event supports the center’s mission of offering arts, cultural and lifelong-learning experiences that build community in Euclid and Northeast Ohio.
Learning by doing
Children and caregivers will be able to take part in hands-on activities covering all five STEAM fields. Local exhibits will offer activities, demonstrations and shows throughout the afternoon.
Businesses, schools, nonprofits and other organizations can join the festival as exhibitors by offering a free hands-on activity for visitors.
Live entertainment
Performances will share the afternoon with the activity tables and demonstrations. Shore Cultural Centre has announced Great Lakes Science Center and TaDa Magician among the performers, with more planned.
The entertainment preview also includes Jungle Terry’s live animal encounters, TaDa Magician’s illusions, the Rocket Car and stilt performances.
Admission is free, giving families four hours of activities, demonstrations, shows and performances without adding another cost to their Saturday plans.
